If you deleted your outgoing server password, you will be prompted to re-enter your password the first time you try to send a message from your account. Enter the new password and check Use Password Manager to remember this password. Thunderbird will attempt to check the incoming server for new mail, at which point it will prompt you for a new password (provided you deleted the incoming server password). From the complete list of Server’s Entry, you need to right-click on the required one and choose Edit Password option. Select the Security Panel and from Password section, find the Saved Passwords option. You can also use 3 labeled horizontal lines to select Options tab.

Note: These steps will not change the password to your email account, only the password that has been saved in Thunderbird. Highlight the account name and click the Remove button. Look for the name of the e-mail account that you wish to change. Follow these steps if you have recently changed or reset your Office 365 email account password, and you use Thunderbird to save your email account passwords. Make sure that the Passwords Saved tab is selected on the Password Manager dialog box.
